Farmstand
What's New: Summer 2008In and around Boston is a wealth of food crafting talent. Gretchen has combed the area to bring you some delicious locally produced delights. Here are just a few... Redeye Roasters is artisan microroasted coffee fresh from Hingham. Try the Ethiopian to rocket you forward on your day or the Costa Rican for a mellow start and smooth finish. The Sumatran beans? Mmmmmm. You really can't miss. This coffee is outstanding. Just a short drive away in Sharon, is Crescent Ridge Dairy, makers of top notch ice cream and frozen yogurt. We challenge you to find a more believable black raspberry chocolate chip frozen yogurt anywhere! Cookies too beautiful to eat? Well, not quite, because they are equally as delicious! Starlight Creatives hand-frosted cookies get two thumbs up from every kid that crosses our threshold. And when they started designing little tractor cookies for us? Too cute. On it goes: Fastachi nuts of Watertown; Hot Mama's Humus and Lazy Chef's Pesto of Springfield; Boston Baked Bonz for the four legged love of your life...these are just a few of the new local products in the farmstand. And while you're here, check out this year's t-shirt; great designs on organic and domestically manufactured shirts. Allandale Farm Harvest
"Fresh-picked" takes on new meaning at our farmstand. The farm crew is out harvesting every morning. The produce you purchase at our stand comes straight from the field to your plate. We pride ourselves on having the highest standards for cleanliness and quality of our vegetables. Come see for yourself and taste the difference that truly fresh-picked makes. Check out the current pick list to see what’s coming from the fields daily. Also this season, look for the return of fresh-cut flowers, with new additions like gerbera daisies and dahlias. Neighbor Farms
You should "buy local" and so should we. We can’t grow everything, so we work in partnership with other local growers to bring you the best that our region has to offer. Rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, apricots, apples, you will find the highest quality fruits and vegetables from superb local farms throughout the season at Allandale Farm. Food Crafters
We carry a wide array of quality local food crafters’ products. Fresh baked bread delivered daily from Clear Flour Bread, cookies and sweets from Jamaica Plain’s Blue Frog Bakery , fresh salsa from the Food Project, and the ever-so-popular Ever So Humble Pies of Walpole will all be in our store again this year. Honey from our farm and other local apiaries, maple products, fresh pasta and sauces are just a sampling of what’s in store. Seasonal Offerings
As always, we welcome your suggestions and recommendations. If you do not find what you are looking for, please let us know. We are always searching for fantastic local finds that can be offered at Allandale Farm. |
